Although the fellowship is open to applicants wishing to pursue public service in the United States, international projects are preferred. Preference will also be given to projects which address the issues faced by disenfranchised, poor, or disadvantaged communities or segments of society. The Fellowship will support students taking on projects that promote social, legal and economic reform and that may involve, but are not limited to, the fields of education, public health, and human rights.
Government service internships are not eligible for this fellowship.
Minimum duration: 8 weeks. Projects of shorter duration will not be considered. The proposed project must be a full-time commitment and be the primary activity for the duration of the fellowship.
