MacMillan Center will review the standing of each proposed program location according to the Yale College Travel Policy https://cipe.yale.edu/travel-resources/travel-policy and the country’s entry restrictions on March 1, 2022. If proposed destination is restricted on March 1 students will need to switch to an online program.
The selection criteria for long distance programs will stay the same. Summer awards must be used for a formal, intensive language course that provides the equivalent of an academic year’s training; at least 140 credit or contact 60-minute hours for beginning and intermediate courses, or 120 credit or contact 60-minute hours for advanced courses. All courses MUST last a minimum of six weeks.
The MacMillan Center Summer Language Grant will provide support up to $5000 towards tuition and cover registration fee (if separate), materials, etc. No stipend portion of the grant will be awarded for long-distance courses.
