The Chinese Government Scholarship - Bilateral Program supports enrollment in a graduate-level program in mainland China, including further study of Chinese, at an approved Chinese university. The scholarship covers tuition, instructional material, housing and medical care in addition to a monthly stipend for living expenses in China. (It does not, however, include travel costs.)
Application to this program no longer has a Yale University nomination process. Interested Applicants should apply directly through the website and apply to the relevant program(s).
Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals under the age of 30. An undergraduate recipient would need to take a Leave of Absence during the academic year of the fellowship.
Interested applicants may schedule an appointment with the appropriate adviser here.
